I had a great experience at this hotel with a clean standard king room featuring two double beds, and I really appreciated the fantastic location near the bay.

The staff was very helpful & pleasant. The location was magnificent and incredible: a shopping area and a market were within walking distance. A cool bonus was Snack Attack, located nearby, it offered tea and coffee...

the location was awesome close to the harbor. our standard queen room was equipped with 2 double beds and wine glasses plus a kitchenette.

Everything is excellent; I truly enjoyed my time here. the staff is nice and helpful, making the experience even better. the location is magnificent, conveniently close to everything. I’m very thankful for such a wonderful stay and would absolutely return.

Booked a room with new flooring. The location was great and incredible - right next to eateries and bars. It took just 5 minutes by car to get to the airport.

I didn't like anything I booked 3 days I left after 1st night it's like you are sleeping in the middle of the street

The location of the Vagabond Inn is excellent for those wishing to visit with sailors at the Naval Base. The hotel is located right next to the Point Loma Seafood Restaurant, a quaint place for good, fresh seafood. The accommodations are not luxurious, but it is clean and the beds are comfortable. The hotel is an excellent bargain for the price I paid and was remarkably comfortable and I got a good night sleep. Location is central for beaches, Sea World, the Naval Base and the MCRD, for those who are there for Marine Corps Graduation. Overall and very nice experience.

A little disenfecte smell and the accouterments, TV, lamps, bed sheets, spreads, dressers, etc. are on the low end, but clean. My first impression wasn't good but I warmed to the comfort of it's Spartan atmosphere as the location was excellent for my trip's purpose.

The room had new flooring and provided coffee and an iron.

For an inexpensive older motel I was pleased with the new condition of the bathrooms. The furniture was a little worn as were the blankets and comforters, but it was clean and roomy. I liked that there was a small refrigerator and microwave in the room. It fit our need for a budget friendly place to stay close to Shelter Island. The pool is very nice also. Staff was very helpful.

I enjoyed my stay here. My room was clean, pleasantly decorated, and included a micro, fridge, coffee maker, and even an iron and ironing board. It was in a great location, only a block from the harbor, and near a nice selection of restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Parking could be a problem when the motel is fully booked.

Hotel is a bit old but maintained fairly well, bathroom was new. Location is very convenient if you have a car, within easy reach of San Diego's main attractions. You get good value for the price considering that San Diego is quite expensive (but don't expect a first class accommodation for this price).

The hotel claims to offer breakfast. However, this was only a few pastries and some apples piled up on a table, no plates etc. I stayed at another Vagabond Inn in San Francisco, and they offered a wonderful breakfast with waffles, yogurt, bread, cereals, fruit etc. - so I was expecting something similar here and was quite disappointed.

The hotel staff here is fantastic.
